The Fire Station Gallery is based in the Old Fire Station building at 19 Hokonui Drive, Gore. With its exposed brick walls, concrete floors and open atmosphere the gallery offers an industrial backdrop and serves as a retail showcase for the work of acclaimed and emerging artists.

The Gallery specialises in showing paintings and photographs by local artists including Colin Dewe, Roger Weston, Jasmine Hetaraka, Lorna Allan, John Klemick, Tony Adamson, Lee Petterson, Louise Bester and emerging talent.

The gallery also carries a variety of Oamaru Stone pieces, wooden tiles, glass works, pounamu carvings and up-cycled furniture pieces.

The public is invited to the “opening receptions” to celebrate the new exhibitions, and a unique experience to meet the artists who create the work, offering a personal insight about the process behind their creativity.

We are open most days from 10am to 5pm (sometimes closed Mondays) and are also available for private viewing in the evenings by appointment.

The Fire Station Gallery seeks out artists who have an unwavering commitment to creating original, compelling and innovative art.

We wish to exhibit the work of the area’s finest artists and provide a great selection of affordable, high quality art including sculpture, pottery and painting in a variety of media and styles.

Pop in to view and have a coffee on me.
